Due to Improvement works on the Newry Belfast line there will be some weekend service changes later this month.

As part of Translink’s Bridge Refurbishment and Strengthening Programme on the southerly rail bridge at Newry Canal some services changes will come into effect in both directions on the Belfast to Dublin line on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th October and on the Belfast to Dublin and Belfast to Newry lines on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th October.

When complete, the programme of works will maintain the resilience of the line, remove speed restrictions to facilitate trains operating at 90mph on parts of the track, continued safe operation of the line, a more comfortable passenger experience with a smoother ride, reduced need for on-going essential engineering works and improved drainage.
