Galway were celebrating on the double at the weekends M Donnelly All-Ireland Poc Fada finals on the Annaverna mountain.

Tadgh Haran claimed the men's title while Susan Earner won the camogie title.

Eoin Reilly (Laois) and John Chawke (Limerick) finished second and third respectively to Liam Mellows clubman Haran with Kilkenny's goalkeeper Eoin Murphy back in fourth place.

Defending champion James McInerney came home in fifth spot.

Susan Earner, meanwhile, beat off stiff competition from Aine O'Loughlin (Clare) and Aoife Murray (Cork) to claim the camogie crown.

Offaly's Cathal Kiely took the Boys U-16 honours for the second year in-a-row, whilst Molly Lynch of Cork took the under 16 Camogie tittle.
