Newry Business Improvement District (BID) is launching an ambitious new programme next weekend to reward city centre shoppers and support BID members. 

The FREE VIP Loyalty Fob is a smart fob carried by customers which enables participating stores to send personalised offers, discounts and promotions in REAL Time to their customers mobile - with £100s to be saved in over 70+ stores including Buttercrane Shopping Centre. 

It’s simple to use – just present your VIP Loyalty fob in 70+ stores to get discounts of 10-20% from participating retailers PLUS Perks like free coffee, parking (Buttercrane), special offers and VIP treatment.

The scheme is being launched in the City Centre on 8/9/10 August with a VIP hub on Hill Street, Monaghan Street and Buttercrane where customers can pick up their fob and enjoy free goodie Bags, music, balloons, face painting and competitions.

BID Manager, Eamonn Connolly said: “We’re very excited to bring this unique scheme to Newry City Centre – offering customers significant savings and VIP perks whilst also giving BID members an innovative and flexible way to interact with customers, push offers and special promotions in Real Time to consumers.

“The scheme is powered by local tech firm Pearlai and we’re one of the first city centre regions to employ this technology. We’re grateful to Newry Mourne & Down District Council and the Department for Communities for their support,” Eamonn added.
