Praising all involved the local Councillor said "The completion of works ahead of schedule is welcome news and we thank the Contractors and Council Officers involved. The community here showed great unity and determination to get to this stage where we have a refurbished Play area upgraded to an acceptable and safe standard. This has taken a significant investment by Council but it is seen by those of us who worked for this and other Play areas to be upgraded as well worth the money.I  am delighted with the  works here at St Oliver Plunkett Park and have no doubt that the new facilities designed to appeal to children of all ages will be extensively used and respected"

Cllr Mulgrew continued "Rural communities need as much investment and support as possible if we are to ensure their sustainability and well being. This and the works at other rural based  Play areas is a positive step and worthy financial investment".
