The Giants Lair at Slieve Gullion has been awarded the 'Favourite Family Friendly Award' at the Walk NI awards 2018 announced this week.

The Giants Lair is an innovative magical living storybook taking visitors on an unforgettable journey of intertwined fairy house and arts features creating a fantastical childhood land of mystery, dragons, giants, witches and fairies. The art work is all inspired by the rich tapestry of local legend and mythical folklore and covers over a mile of woodlands at Slieve Gullion Forest Park.

Sticky Fingers Arts based at Edward Street in Newry devised the project and the organisation has come in for praise from Slieve Gullion Councillor Pete Byrne.
