Chris Hazzard was once again returned in South Down in yesterday’s Westminster Election with 16,137 votes (down 7.6% compared to 2017) at the count centre in Belfast. New candidate Michael Savage, SDLP polled 14,517 votes. Turnout was 63.11%.

The count concluded around 3.30am. Sinn Féin, SDLP and DUP all saw final tallies significantly down on 2017 election levels while Alliance saw a 5,102 vote increase.
