Councillor Mulgrew said, “I am delighted to see one of our local schools winning such a prestigious title. I know just how much work and dedication goes into this kind of sporting success. I particularly want to commend the school, coaches Thomas Hackett and Niamh Murray and all the parents whose commitment was vital to this victory.”

Councillor Mulgrew continued, “Winning an Ulster title is an important milestone for these young footballers and I have no doubt that this is just the first of many successes they will have in the future. With their dedication, commitment and sporting ability, they will continue to improve and achieve yet more success in competition for their school.”

Councillor Mulgrew presented a Tipperary crystal bowl to the school, in honour of the team’s achievement. Following the reception, the Chairperson took the opportunity to speak informally with the girls and their mentors.
