Newry, Mourne and Down District Council Chairman, Councillor Mark Murnin welcomed representatives from Cuan Mhuire, a charitable drug, alcohol and gambling rehabilitation organisation with premises on the Dublin Road in Newry, to a Special Council Meeting on Monday 25 June in Downpatrick.

The meeting explored the impact of gambling in the local area and included a presentation from Pat McGinn from Cuan Mhuire and a discussion about addictions, facilitated by representatives from the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust.
