 MP Mickey Brady has conveyed his deepest sympathy and that of Sinn Féin to his colleague, Newry Mourne and Down Councillor, Roisin Mulgrew on the death of her husband Maurice.

 Maurice Mulgrew passed away at home at Tamnaghbane, Killeavy yesterday 18 July. At one stage Maurice ran The Cobweb Bar in Monaghan Street, Newry.

The Newry and Armagh MP said “I extend our deepest sympathies to our esteemed colleague Roisin and the family after the sad news of the death of her husband Maurice.

"Maurice Mulgrew was highly popular and respected throughout the area. 

 "A hard working dedicated family man, his death is a terrible blow to Roisin, Brendan, Meabh and Dealgan and the wider family circle."

The funeral is tomorrow Saturday 20th July 2019, at 11 am for 12 noon Requiem Mass in the Church of St. Joseph, Meigh.
