You don't have to be referred by a doctor. You just book your appointment online at WWW.NHS.UK/ASK-FOR-A-CORONAVIRUS-TEST Booking can be made on the same day as the appointment if a slot is available.

You or someone you live with must have a Car to take part in the test. More than one person in a car can get tested, as long as they are booked in and as long as they are over five years of age.

You should enter the Newry Leisure Centre facility via Cecil Street.

Results will be available within 48hrs to 1 week.

Symptoms of COVID-19

  • a high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature); OR
  • a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual) OR
  • a loss of or change in sense of smell or taste.

If you have questions about a test you've booked or are having trouble booking a test, you can call 119.
