Hill Street in Newry was the place to be on Sunday when Newry Business Improvement District (BID) partnered with First Derivatives Plc to bring the Aston Martin Red Bull Racing Double Championship Winning RB8 and its team to Newry.

The car and team took up poll position outside the new First Derivatives building at Marcus Square and many thousands came out for a chance to get up close and to hear the engines roar.

Eamonn Connolly, Newry BID said, “Newry BID were delighted to partner with First Derivatives and bring the Aston Martin Red Bull Racing Formula One Car to Newry. There was a real buzz around Newry in the lead up to and during the event. Our family friendly event was a huge success with big crowds and a fantastic atmosphere in the centre of Newry. The BID was delighted to deliver this great event with First Derivatives as it not only reflected Newry at its best but also the cutting edge technology driven Newry that is emerging.”

Shane Mullholland, SVP Marketing, First Derivatives spoke of his delight at the crowd and how Newry was the centre of their global operations  ‘We were delighted to partner with Newry BID to bring Aston Martin Red Bull Racing to our hometown of Newry.
