The fairy trail is an innovative, magical trail that takes visitors on an unforgettable journey of intertwined fairy houses and art features, creating a fantastical childhood land of mystery, dragons, witches and fairies.

Newry, Mourne and Down District Council Chairperson, Councillor Mickey Ruane welcomed the walks and commented, “The guided tours will take you on a journey of magic and imagination, where you will follow in the footsteps of the mischievous fairy, so be ready to encounter the unexpected and enjoy this wonderful woodland adventure!”

He continued, “Why not bring your little ones to see if they can catch glimpse and enjoy a guided tour of this secretive world.  The guided walks cost £6 per person (free for children under 2 years of age) and are geared towards children aged 4 – 10 years old.  All children must be accompanied by an adult.”

Suitable footwear and outdoor clothing should be worn. The tours will take place at 10am and 11.30am on both days. As places are limited they must be booked in advance on or before 24 May by contacting Newry Visitor Information Centre on 028 3031 3170 or
