Translink has introduced adjustments to bus timetables from Monday 29 June. There will be no changes to rail timetables.

These new summer bus timetables will include some frequency enhancements on those routes that often attract more leisure travel at this time of the year such as Newcastle and the North Coast.

Ian Campbell, Director of Service Operations explained, “We continue to closely monitor our services and passenger numbers and these latest changes are designed to meet the changing passenger demand as lockdown restrictions ease.

“Passengers are urged to continue to follow the expert advice, wash or sanitise hands frequently, please wear a face covering, travel off peak and maintain a social distance. If services are busy, passengers may need to wait for the next bus or train so it is important to allow extra time for your journey.

“We also remind passengers that there are a range of safety measures in place at stations and on board including more signage and screens on services and in-stations. Our frontline staff will be wearing PPE, new one-way systems may be in operation and hand sanitiser dispensers are in place for public use and our buses, trains and stations receive enhanced cleaning to help look after all our passengers and employees”, Ian concluded.

Passengers should familiarise themselves with the new timetables, by checking our Journey Planner and website WWW.TRANSLINK.CO.UK or call the contact centre on 028 90 666630.
