This Thursday 7 March will see President Higgins visit An Tobar Community Wellness Centre and Social Farm at Silverbridge.

The new Community Interest Company on the site of Finnegans Nursery and Garden Centre was formed in April 2018 with a mission "to create an inclusive, safe, sanctuary for healing our community. We offer social and educational programmes, therapeutic horticulture and social farming to individuals and groups. An Tobar will be a place of belonging where we can nurture our health and wellbeing and heal and grow together as a community."

The company aims to provides community services for people of all ages and abilities, in areas such as community health and wellbeing, mindfulness, social and therapeutic horticulture and social farming.

President Higgins will meet residents from Dealgan House Dundalk and Glencarron Nursing Home Crossmaglen, St. Joseph’s High School pupils, Rural Support and social farming participants and social attendees.

The President will also plant the first native sapling for Brian’s Woodland project at the Celtic Circle Garden.
