Contacting Us
If you contact us via our Contact page we require your email address and name to enable us to deal with your query. We will not share any of these details unless you explicitly ask for this to be done as part of your request.
If you are Advertising on our site we will use your information to enable us carry out your request. We keep statistics on Advertising figures, ie number of clicks or hits but these are completely anonymous and they are only shared with the business that is advertising.
We do not have a mailing list but if in the future we decide to have one you will have to join it yourself and there would always be a facility to remove your details from the list on every communication.
Our websites Database is stored on a secure host and the site has a SSL certificate for maximum security.
Photography
We store our library of photographs complete with captions where appropriate securely on our computer and back up to a secure hard drive.
Our Address Book
Newry.ie keep contact information for our customers and journalistic contacts/ contributers. We store this securely and don't share our information with others unless you give us permission.

Our editor's decision is final and we reserve the right not to publish anything on Newry.ie/ Newry.ie Facebook/ Newry.ie Twitter we consider inappropriate to the ethos of Newry.ie including advertising, promotions images or editorial.
On our social media channels we reserve the right to remove or hide any comments we don't feel appropriate. This could be because they are pedalling misinformation, attacking an individual, not related to the post they are published on, or simply spam.
While we endeavour to be entirely accurate with our published content, we occasionally make mistakes but will amend any inaccuracies as soon as humanly possible after being informed of them. We accept no responsibility for any consequences derived from any errors on this website.
If you would rather not see a particular image on the site, please let us know by email to NEWS@NEWRY.IE. All removals will be at the editors discretion.
Technical issues can and do happen with web sites. We will try to keep any web downtime as short as possible.
If you agree to take out an advertisement on the site you have 24 hours after the advert goes live to point out any issues and we will sort if we can. After this advertisement payment terms are two weeks from the date of the invoice.

Whilst we endeavour to be 100% accurate with the content of Newry.ie occasionally errors can be made.

If you are not happy with our response or you have an issue of another nature you can make a formal complaint to us following the procedures below.
Making a complaint
We can look into complaints about items we have published which are in our control.
All complaints must include the article name and date with reference to the specific article in question. Please include the URL of the article if possible, and/or link to any image or video. A detailed description of the complaint, with reference to specific words, phrases, images, instances, dates and records that are relevant, and which clauses of the IMPRESS Standards Code you believe Newry.ie has breached.

What can I complain about?
You can complain about any article, in print or online, including words, images and audio/video content. You can also complain about the conduct of an individual journalist or employee of Newry.ie, with reference to specific (if any) clauses of the Impress Standards Code which are in breach
Time Limit
Complaints must be contemporaneous and must be made within four months of publication. The publication will endeavour to respond to the complainant within 21 working days.
Complaints process
The editor will confirm receipt of the complaint within seven working days at the latest, by contacting the complainant via email.
All complaints will be dealt with by the Editor/ Director of Newry.ie.
The editor will investigate the complaint to the best of their ability, in respect of the IMPRESS Standards Code and respond accordingly. If we uphold your complaint, we will inform you of the remedial actions taken or to be taken. If the complainant is not satisfied with the suggested resolution, complainants are free to seek the advice of a media lawyer.

All information provided to Newry.ie will be handled sensitively and within the boundaries of the Data Protection Act 1998.
