Marie Curie was the worthy recipient of a cheque for £1000 following a recent wedding anniversary celebration.
Ann and Brian O'Hare from Eleven Lane Ends, Tandragee celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary in August and held a family gathering in September to mark the occasion.
Their wedding on 22 August 1973 took place in St Colman's Church Shinn followed by the reception in the New Liverpool Hotel in Warrenpoint.
The couple decided that instead of people deciding to bring a gift, they could give a donation if they wished, to the Marie Curie charity. Marie Curie was chosen because of the incredible care received from Marie Curie nurses by a family member when they were ill.
The couple would like thank everyone that contributed.
