Councillor Gillian Fitzpatrick, former Chairperson of Newry, Mourne and Down District Council has presented £18,450.00, the proceeds of the Council’s Inaugural Charity Ball, to her chosen Charities at a reception in Bagenal’s Castle, Newry.
Councillor Fitzpatrick said, “I am delighted to be in a position to present cheques for an amount that will be of great benefit to my Charities - Autism H.A.N.D.; Mind Your Mate and Yourself (MYMY); PIPS; Southern Area Hospice, The Dogs Trust and the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust.
"All of these charities work tirelessly to support people when they most need help. Together with everyone in our community, I am indebted to you for your tireless work.
