Police have seized cannabis plants worth an estimated £40,000 after discovering a substantial drugs factory at a property in Bessbrook.
Officers responded to a report about a property in Ard Aveen Park on Sunday 8 February where they uncovered the significant operation.
The cannabis factory is now being dismantled with all plants set to be removed and destroyed. The haul represents a significant quantity of street drugs being taken out of circulation.
Sergeant Gavin Grady said targeting drugs supply remains a priority for local police, with officers constantly on the lookout for potential criminal activity in the area. He emphasised that information from the community is critical in tackling drugs crime and urged anyone with knowledge of drugs activity or suspected cannabis cultivation in their neighbourhood to come forward.
"Your information can make a real difference," Sergeant Grady said.
