Staff from local businesses CRASH Services and JMK Solicitors have raise the amazing sum of  £23,000 for their two, 2018, charity partners following a year-long fundraising programme. The latest fundraising comes on top of £25,000 raised on behalf of the Southern Area Hospice in 2018 through two events organised and sponsored by CRASH Services.

The first charity to benefit was Children’s Heartbeat Trust, who have been supporting families of children with heart disease in Northern Ireland since 1984. They work closely with the Clark Clinic at the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children to ensure that children with heart disease and their families receive the best care, treatment and support possible.

The second is Life After Loss, which was set up to help anyone affected by the loss of a baby. They provide support and information to those who have been through the death of a child at any stage of pregnancy, or early in life, for any reason.

Jonathan McKeown, CEO at CRASH Services said “We are delighted to be able to support two such worthwhile causes.  Each year our staff nominate charities to support for the whole year.  The two charities with the most nominations are then selected and this year, our charity partners have close connections to our staff.

“Our people are committed to raising as much money as possible through a series of events such as the Belfast Marathon, a ‘Night at the Races’, Big Breakfasts and Dress Down days.  We are so pleased that their efforts have paid off and as a result the company agreed to match fund their fundraising total.

We know the funds will be put to good use and supporting families when they need it most.”
