Write a commentThis years Drama Festival runs from the 27th March till the 4th April 2009 at 8pm each evening and 7.30pm on final night. The Festival is produced in Association with The Quays Shopping and Leisure.
At the recent launch Maureen Grant who looks after the Festival’s Public Relations said “that it was her pleasant task to thank the Sponsors and she began by thanking the main Sponsors, the Quays Shopping and Leisure. Through Manager Cathal Austin, the Festival has received generous support over the past four years. This commitment has ensured that Newry Drama Festival can still live up to its high reputation as one of the best Festivals in Ireland for looking after the visiting groups by way of expenses and hospitality. The Event has long enjoyed the excellent backing of the Business and Professional people of the District who sponsor a team or take a line in the middle page of the Souvenir Programme. She paid tribute to the Season Ticket holders and Patrons who attend the performances year after year without fail and enjoy the social scene. The participating Drama Groups who travel to Newry from many parts of Ireland were also applauded. Maureen expressed her sincere appreciation of the Press Local and National for their long-standing association with the Festival and their unfailing coverage of the event. Finally she thanked the Quays Management for hosting the Press Reception and Sainbury,s and Debenhams for their support.
