If you've been out for a dander down the street today you couldn't have missed the colourful display of knitting on display all along Merchants Quay. The knitters were cerrtainly out in force and it's all to help raise awareness around foster caring and carers and the massive difference it can make to a childs life.
HSC NI Foster Care is recruiting foster carers in Newry and surrounds. Being a carer doesn't necessarily require a full time or long term commitment. There are a wide range of children who need looked after for varying amounts of time.
The knitters have made a difference to Newry City. Perhaps you could make a difference to a child's life.
if you want to learn more you can collect an information pack at Dromalane House reception desk between 9am and 5pm Mon-Fri in March or you can drop in to a Q&A event in the Canal Court Hotel, Mall Suite, in Newry on Wed 29 March between 1 and 8pm.
Alternatively ring 0800 0720 137 or email info@fostering.hscni.net
