The Loughs Agency are looking for young people between 14 and 17 years of age who are interested in the natural environment to join their free Carlingford Ambassadors programme.
The deadline has been extended and you can still apply to take part in the programme which runs from 22 – 26 April 2019 in Newry city.
The Carlingford Ambassador programme is a FREE Easter programme aimed at 14-17 year olds from the Newry/ Carlingford area. The programme will run for 5 consecutive days starting Monday 22nd April and ending Friday 26th April.

The Ambassadors will meet at a location in Newry (TBC) 9:30am each day and they must be collected at 4:30pm.
Participants will have the opportunity to take part in a range of activities from water-sports to conservation projects. Throughout the programme they will have the chance to discover Carlingford Lough, gain qualifications, learn new skills, make new friends and discover new possibilities and opportunities.

The common theme of the project is the lough and the purpose of the programme is to get young people connected with the Carlingford Lough, its tributaries, estuary, coast, its wildlife and the recreational opportunities it holds. The hope is that participants on the programme will develop a new and positive understanding of the lough and its resources.
