The ship Brian Ború currently docked at the Albert Basin in Newry has some really good opportunities for young people to get out on the water and sail with two upcoming voyages for people aged between 18 and 30.
Heavily subsidised by Belfast City Council you would have the choice of two voyages: A 5 day trip leaving Newry this Sunday 3 September bound for Belfast for £80 or a three day trip from Belfast to Dun Laoghaire for £40. Both trips will visit the Isle of Man.
The tall ship has been in Newry for the annual Iúr Cinn Fleadh with daily trips going up and down Newry Ship Canal and will be making its way to Belfast for Belfast Maritime Festival on the weekend of 9th and 10th September.
