It appears that Armagh fans may have broke the internet temporarily earlier this afternoon .... Ok, well at least the Translink page that was selling Enterprise tickets to Connolly Station from Newry and Portadown for Sunday's Quarter Final clash in Dublin against Galway!
Virtually straight away from when the tickets went on sale, access to the site was proving extremely difficult with error pages coming up or customers unable to add tickets to their shopping basket.
Around 2.30pm a message on the Translink Twitter account said "we are experiencing issues with our website at present. We are working to to resolve it. We'll provide an update as soon as we can. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause."
Tickets for Special Train C, a third train put on for the enthuasiastic supporters went on sale at 1pm today but despite many fans trying for over an hour it appears that the elusive transport option wasn't making itself available to quite a few. Regardless it appears that a train load of lucky fans DID manage to secure their tickets as the train is now the third extra train added to be sold out.
One fan said they had been trying since 1pm to buy tickets for it constantly refreshing on 3 diff devices for either to be kicked out of the site or not even allowed in.
A Translink spokesperson said “We are running three train specials to the Armagh v Galway GAA All Ireland quarter final at Croke Park on Sunday 26th June.
“The first two trains, from Belfast to Dublin, sold out within minutes of tickets becoming available last week and the third train, from Portadown to Dublin, has sold out this afternoon”.
Armagh travel down on Sunday to face Galway as part of a double header at Croker with Kerry playing Mayo also. Fans will just have to find other ways to get themselves to the Capital come the weekend.
