The Sligo game saw Kieran McGeeneys men continue their point frenzy from their Westmeath outing, putting 19 points over the bar as well as a goal at the start of the second half from top scorer, team captain, Rory Grugan who was in unstoppable form, notching up 1:5. When the opportunity arose after a poor kickout from Sligo goalkeeper Aidan Devaney, he blasted the ball to the back of the net.
Armagh substitute Niall Grimley managed to add 6 points to the tally, with four coming from frees. Even goalkeeper Blaine Hughes took the long walk up field to score a point from a free.
