What a talented artist Christy Dignam is, and that's not to undermine the other members of the talented band Aslan who played Bellinis in Newry last night. Christy give each performance his all and last night was no different with him totally into the music and bringing the crowd completely along with him.
Aslan always had a cult following and it showed by the sheer admiration and enthusiasm fans of all ages had, some shaking hands with Christy as he sang, many singing along and many more capturing the essence of the night on their camera phones!
Aslan began in 1982 and were a very popular Dublin based Irish band of the time but they just didn't make it to the big time for one reason or another.
How can I protect you in this crazy world is their lasting anthem and the Bellinis crowd sang their hearts out. As well as many of their older tracks and cover versions their classic track This Is went down a storm. A night to be long remembered after the ringing in the ears has stopped!{igallery id=7797|cid=144|pid=1|type=category|children=0|addlinks=0|tags=|limit=0}
