Newry, Mourne and Down District Council are asking anyone that hasn't had their bin emptied on the usual collection day to remove it from the kerbside, as due to ongoing industrial action it won't be collected until your next scheduled day for that particular bin. This applies to both domestic and commercial bins. Household Recycling Centres are currently operating as normal.
Council say that their services will experience significant disruption up till 24 April. It's part of a work-to-rule by union workers at council who are demanding better working conditions.
