The Bite n Banter for Christmas get-together is back once again with organisers inviting anyone who may be on their own or in need of some Christmas cheer this Christmas Day to join them from 1pm at Newry Gateway Club, Kilmorey Street in Newry. It's open to absolutely everyone, young or old it doesn't matter. It's an event run by a group of wonderful volunteers who's only aim is to ensure that no one need spend their Christmas day alone.
You'll be able to enjoy great free food, tea and coffee, music and a wonderful community atmosphere. The organisers can also arrange to pick you up and drop you off too.
It works by the good people of Newry making an extra dinner on Christmas Day and then bringing it down to the Gateway Club between 12.30pm and 2.30pm.
The group was started 8 year ago and every Christmas since then, apart from the past couple of covid years, they have been there along with loads of volunteers making a good day even better.
If you know anyone who will be on their on their own please tell them all about it or help them make arrangements to go.
