Local man Michael McArdle launched his book in the Sean Hollywood Arts Centre last night.
Entitled "The Struggle for the Union" it tells the story of early Unionism in Newry from 1900 to when the border was established in 1925.
Michael ran the Sounds Good shop in Monaghan Street, Newry and a shop in Armagh in the 80's.
It can be purchased in Easons, Savages and other book shops and newsagents throughout the City.
