MP Mickey Brady has stressed the importance of community groups like the Simon Community for local people in need and says they are more important than ever as ordinary people have been left without vital support this Christmas. The NEwry and Armagh representative believes the absence of an Executive has made it harder for such groups to meet the demand for their services.
"The decision of one party to block the formation of an Executive has meant that groups such as the Simon community will be hard pressed to meet the demand for their services without government support. Enough is enough, people cannot wait any longer, they need support now as the cold winter begins to bite. They deserve an Executive that will work in their interests."
