A new Monthly Comedy Night is launching in September at the Sean Hollywood Arts Centre.
Iúr Live! will start on Friday the 7th of September 2012 and will be the start of a comedy night slot each month in the Sean Hollywood Arts Centre.
Iúr Live! is thinking big and as part of their Autumn season they will showcase four comedians whose achievements include staring on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Road Show, Live at the Apollo, The Royal Variety Performance, Jason Manford’s Comedy Rocks, and Just for Laughs. They have broken box office records at both Edinburgh’s Fringe Festival and Kilkenny’s Cat Laughs Festival, and continue to be mainstays in some of the Country’s leading sitcoms.
With a capacity of only 150 and Courtney’s fully licensed bar on call the Sean Hollywood Arts Centre will provide the perfect platform to watch the finest comics at the peak of their powers in one of Newry’s most intimate venue.
A spokesperson for Iúr Live! commented "For too long Newry, South Down, and South Armagh have been bypassed by the top touring comics. Iúr Live! promises to change the poor circumstance in which our local comedy fans finds themselves by ensuring that televisions’s leading stand-ups come to our area to perform their critically acclaimed shows."
Keep an eye on the Iúr Live! facebook page and www.jfpromotions.co.uk for up to date information.
