Write a commentAfter Newry Rainbow Community’s participation in last weeks highly successful Eariwig Festival the group are putting a call out for more Community Groups than ever to take part in this years Pride in Newry Parade on Saturday the 30th of August.
Newry Rainbow Community took part in the Eariwig Festival for the first time this year and commenting on the event NRC Secretary, Damian McKevitt said “We were delighted to participate at the invite of the Eariwig Festival Committee, now one of Newry’s longest running and best supported local Community Festivals.
“Festivals such as Eariwig are an invaluable contribution to enhancing the quality of life for people in local communities allowing them to publicly celebrate and value the breadth of talent within them. The Pride in Newry Festival is one which also showcases the diverse talent within Newry and on the 30th of August will ensure Newry is awash with colour, pageant and entertainment. Pride in Newry extends a warm invitation to all local groups and organisations.”
