In a great example of community spirit local business Haldane Fisher have donated 100 tins of fence paint to Camlough Men's Shed who in turn would like to offer some of the tins to any local people who would make use of it.
Camlough Men's Shed was delighted to have been chosen as the recipient of the generous donation and they have reached out to several local Mens sheds who may be doing projects that they could assist with. Additionally the group would welcome any men who would like to join them. The Men's shed movement has really taken off since the Covid pandemic, helping men keep occupied and giving them an opportunity to interact with other men with positive projects, thus assisting with their mental health.
As a Camlough Men's Shed spokesperson said "We all need to feel useful, sadly loss of jobs, retirement and the long lockdown played havoc on so many, the Men's shed has given thousands a new lease on life , a purpose. and formed many friendships throughout the Country."
Chris Bagnall, Newry Sales Manager and David Somerville, Commercial Pricing Manager took the trip to Camlough to present the 100 tins of fence paint on behalf of Haldane Fisher.
If you know anyone in the Camlough area that is interested in knowing more or would like to join us on some up coming projects or indeed could use a pot of fence paint please email Camlochmensshed@gmail.com or message them on Camlough Men's Shed Facebook.
The spokesperson added "Thanks from Camlough Men's Shed to David Somerville & Chris Bagnall from Haldane & Fisher, to the representatives from Deramore & Armagh Men's shed who joined us this morning. Plus many thanks to Photographer Gary Mc Parland for the use of one of his beautiful shots of Camlough lake to use on our banner and to Brian at Camlough Signs for an outstanding job on making the banner."
