Following last weeks announcement by the Southern Trust that they were planning to move emergency general surgery permanantly from Daisy Hill Hospital to Craigavon Hospital a local campaigning group is holding a public meeting on the matter this Monday coming.
The Daisy Hill Hospital Action Group are hosting the meeting on Monday 6 February at 7.30pm in The Miller Suite, Canal Court Hotel in Newry and they are asking as many people as possible to attend.
The meeting is to give the public an opportunity to express their views on the removal of emergency general surgery from Daisy Hill by the Southern Health Trust. It is also intended at the meeting to set up a campaign steering committee to bring this surgery back to Daisy Hill and It is hoped to formulate a campaign action plan at the event.
