The Gap O' The North Walking Club are hosting a walk on Camlough Mountain/ Sliabh gCircín this weekend and would love to see new walkers join in. The event on Sunday 28 May will give you a chance to explore the summit and admire the stunning surrounding scenery. Most of the Ring of Gullion was formed 56-58 million years ago but at 400 million years old Camlough Mountain boasts the oldest granodiorite rocks about!

If you fancy joining them all you have to do is meet at Gap o’ the North Pub, Jonesborough at 10 am for a cup tea/coffee and a safety briefing.

The starting point is a 5/10 minute drive away. Walkers should expect to be out up to 4 hours on open hillside and over rough terrain so make sure you wear good walking boots and bring a wind/ waterproof jacket just in case along with suncream ... just in case!
