Write a commentWith the Midnight Walk fast approaching on Saturday 20th August, time is running out for participants to register to take part in the event. This exciting event will kick off at Sculpt Fitness in Carnbane Industrial Estate, where participants will begin the 10k walk in support of the Southern Area Hospice.
Sculpt staff and hospice marshals will be on hand early on the night to warm up walkers before they set off with music and craic. The 10km route around Newry City has been designed to be a fun and easy way for everyone to raise vital funds to support our hospice. All fitness abilities can attend and under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult.
The event is proudly supported by A1 Safety and WorkWear, Newry who will be providing each participant with a high visibility jacket on the night, as well as the Newry and Mourne Community Transport who will once again be providing a mini bus for participants on the night.
Why not get a few family members, friends or work colleagues together and take advantage of our group discount for teams of 4 or more. The registration fee is £10 for this fun filled and historic event, and we ask that participants raise minimum sponsorship of £50 individually, or £30 each if part of a group. Fancy dress is optional, so why not make it a fun night and stand out from the crowd?!

Participants can also choose to do the walk in memory of a loved one and we are hoping it will be a big success again this year and we welcome the support of the local community .. .’
Each participant must register before Friday 12th August 2011. There will be no registration on the night.
