The Kilkeel Coastguard team were tasked today to organise a Helicopter Landing System in Newry for Rescue 936 from Wales. The helicopter team had carried out a medivac from Slieve Donard and landed at Jennings Park in The Meadow just before 4pm.
The Kilkeel team assisted Northern Ireland Ambulance Service colleagues on the ground and transported the casualty to Daisy Hill Hospital. NI Fire and Rescue Service were also on hand.
