Crotlieve DEA hosted a Positive Ageing Afternoon Tea Dance in late March, bringing people together from across the district for an afternoon filled with chat.
Around 150 attendees gathered at Warrenpoint Town Hall for the much-anticipated annual event. Guests enjoyed a delicious lunch while being serenaded by the fantastic Gabriel and Ellen and the uplifting voices of the U3A Gentlemen’s Choir. Adding to the afternoon’s excitement, they took to the dance floor with Chairperson Councillor Pete Byrne, who happily joined in the celebrations. Three lucky guests were also delighted to win beautiful Spring Hampers, generously supplied by Crotlieve DEA.
Speaking about the importance of such as these, Chairperson Councillor Pete Byrne said, "It is always wonderful to see our community come together to enjoy an afternoon of friendship, music and dancing. The Positive Ageing Afternoon Tea Dance means so much to everyone who attends and I am delighted that we could once again create such a memorable day for all."
Warrenpoint Fire Service and PSNI representatives engaged with guests, provided valuable safety information adding an informative and interactive element to the afternoon, ensuring attendees had the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about community safety.
