“Newry, Mourne and Down District Council is aware that a number of Christmas lighting features at locations in Newry City centre are currently not operating. The Council is liaising with the appointed contractor to investigate the faults and undertake repairs. For specific faults detected it may require the Council to seek the assistance of the Department for Infrastructure (DfI) Street Lighting Section.
Over the Christmas period the Council monitors Christmas lighting across the district and report faults to both the contractor and (DfI) Street lighting as appropriate.
