29/4/20 - NOTE CHANGE OF DATE for Monkshill - 17th May!
This years Newry Parish, Blessing of the Graves at Monkshill and St Mary's Cemetery will be very different from usual due to the current pandemic restrictions, with the ceremony not open to the public and instead being broadcast live on the Newry Cathedral Webcam.
The parish have asked people not to congregate in the cemeteries due to restrictions on movement and gatherings as a result of COVID-19.
Cemetery Sunday for St. Mary’s Cemetery will be broadcast live on the Newry Cathedral webcam this Sunday 3 May at 5.30pm and it is hoped that Cemetery Sunday for Monks Hill Cemetery will be broadcast live on on Sunday 17th May at 5.30pm also. Further details will be issued closer to the time.
There will be no Newry Cathedral transmitted 5.30pm Mass on either Sunday.
