Cross-border train passengers are being warned to expect weekend disruption later this month when engineering works force the closure of part of the Dublin to Belfast railway line.
Translink has confirmed that Enterprise services will be affected from Saturday 25 to Monday 27 October due to Irish Rail engineering works between Drogheda and Dublin Connolly.
Passengers heading south from Newry will travel by train as far as Drogheda, where they'll need to switch to bus replacements for the rest of the journey into Dublin Connolly. Those travelling northbound will do the reverse, taking buses from Dublin Connolly to Drogheda before boarding trains for the remainder of the trip.
The line closure will also mean some changes to the usual cross-border timetable over the three days.
