Write a commentSPAR stores across NI are selling bunches of fresh daffodils in support of Marie Curie and its 2020 Great Daffodil Appeal.
Bright and cheerful freshly cut daffodils are now on sale in local SPAR stores at only £1 for the duration of the flower season. Ten pence from the sale of each bouquet will be donated to the terminal illness charity, Marie Curie.
Bronagh Luke, Head of Corporate Marketing with the Henderson Group, owners of the SPAR brand in Northern Ireland, said: “We are excited to partner with Marie Curie once again in support of this beautiful initiative.
Ms Luke added “We have raised £300,000 to date for Marie Curie since our partnership began in 2017 and thanks to the continued support and enthusiasm from our SPAR retailers across Northern Ireland, we hope that this year’s appeal will boost this total even further.”
Conor O’Kane at Marie Curie said: “We are excited to be working in partnership with local SPAR stores on this brand-new promotion for our Great Daffodil Appeal this year. Right across Northern Ireland, SPAR retailers and shoppers are always so enthusiastic in getting behind the appeal and we are confident that this year will be our biggest fundraising drive yet.
“Every bunch of daffodils sold will ensure Marie Curie can continue to provide essential support for people living with a terminal illness and their families here in Northern Ireland.
