Southern Area Hospice Services alongside event sponsors McKeevers Chemists have launched their 15th Midnight Memory Walk, which is set to take place on Saturday 30 September.

For the past 15 years the Midnight Memory Walk has always been a special evening for the local community and for Southern Area Hospice Services. Our local Hospice must raise £3.6 million this year so that their services can continue to help and support people within the Southern Health Trust area.  The Midnight Memory Walk has become a vital income-source in the Hospice’s fundraising calendar, and your support is very much welcomed.  The 6K walk is a family event and last year raised over £24,000, an amazing amount and so they would love to do the same again this year.

Paul Mc Keever of McKeevers Chemists, commented, “We are delighted to be working with the Hospice on their Midnight Memory Walk.  The Hospice is a charity that is very close to the hearts of the staff and customers of McKeevers Chemists and this walk is a wonderful opportunity to raise money for this fantastic cause whilst remembering our loved ones.”

The evening includes beautiful live music, light refreshments, and a dedicated memory wall of messages for those who are loved and missed.  You will also be able to purchase Christmas Cards and Hospice merchandise on the night.

Registrations are now open, and you are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible to allow Southern Area Hospice Services to account for numbers attending this event. You can sign up by visiting www.eventbrite.co.uk or by phoning the Fundraising Office on (028) 3026 7711.  You can find out more on our website www.southernareahospiceservices.org.

Once registered, you will receive a walker’s information pack with everything you need to know about joining the event on the night and tips on how to raise sponsorship.  Please note, unfortunately earlier walkers cannot be accommodated and under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult.

Make every step count for your local Hospice this September and sign up today.
