Deadline Tonight! - Council Residents Survey needs Your Views

Today is the last chance for the public to reply to an Online Survey by Newry, Mourne and Down District Council seeking to identify what council priorities should be and the key challenges the district face as it continues to deal with the impact of Covid-19. The Survey will close at Midnight tonight.

The council survey notes "Your views are important to us as we plan ahead for the future of our district." and should take no longer than 5 to 10 minutes of your time.

The survey lists nine principal council projects including Newry Civic Centre and the Albert Basin Park and gives you the opportunity to give your thoughts on them.

New Theatre and Conference Centre in Newry

A question talks about council investing to improve life for local communities and asks you to select your priorities in order of importance.

Investment

Investment in local community projects such as parks, play parks and pitches

Investment to improve health and wellbeing (eg leisure centres and arts and heritage venues)

Investment to grow the economy, create jobs and attract tourists.

Investment to create shared space and bring communities together.

The Survey also asks residents to detail how important to them the strategic objectives in the 2020-2023 corporate plan are.
