Railway workers have spent this past two evenings pruning trees & shrubbery at the Egyptian Arch railway bridge just outside Newry.

The arch was made famous in 2006 when it appeared as a design on a pound coin. It carries the Dublin Belfast railway line across the Camlough Road outside Newry.
Construction of the arch was completed in 1851 for the Dublin and Belfast Junction Railway Company and was the result of collaboration between engineer Sir John Macneill and constructor William Dargan.
