A Camlough couple that have had their house flooded have said that apart from a few sandbags being delivered at the start of the week, they and their neighbours have received no help or assistance from the Water Service, Rivers Agency or local councilors, even though flood water has extensively damaged their home.
Flooring, furniture and fittings have been destroyed in the incident.

Their daughter Nadine Lynch said that despite the public bodies being contacted not one of them were willing to help or give them any information. Their property at Cashel Close in Camlough is at the side of the Newtown Road which was extensively flooded from Monday.

Nadine said "My elderly parents house has been flooded in Cashel Close in Camlough. Not one person in the public eye or a representative of any agency has shown their face to help with the flooding internally or externally."
Her father is in his 70s and their property has been left water damaged since the start of the week. Neighbouring houses have been damaged also in the incident which closed the road for a considerable time.
Nadine says she is aware that there is flooding at many places elsewhere but that the family just want to get information regarding what plan of action they should be taking.
