A large plume of black smoke hung over the High Street and Courtenay Hill area of Newry tonight as portacabins in the grounds of the old Abbey Grammar School were engulfed in flames.
The fire itself attracted a large crowd of on-lookers and at least Five fire appliances attended the blaze which was brought under control within an hour.
