Write a commentPolice are appealing for information following a report of arson at the Boat Street area of Newry around lunchtime yesterday Friday 27 December.
Detective Sergeant Bell said: “At around 12:20pm, it was reported that a window of a property in the area had been smashed and a fire had started in the kitchen inside the property. No one was inside the flat at the time of the incident.
“Enquiries are continuing and at this stage, the fire is being treated as deliberate.
“We would appeal to anyone with any information to contact detectives on 101, quoting reference 991 27/12/19.
