Write a commentMP Mickey Brady has confirmed that Firmus Gas intend to extend their Gas Pipeline from the Green Road in Bessbrook to Camlough.
Making his comments after he had facilitated a meeting with senior Company Officers to discuss the provision of their services the Newry and Armagh MP said "Local businesses in particular felt that they needed an option of being able to access Firmus Gas services, stating that they believed it could be cheaper, more competitive and would give more choice".
Mickey who was accompanied by local Council candidate for the area Oonagh Magennis and Cllr Roisin Mulgrew added,
Oonagh Magennis welcoming the news said "After significant lobbying from my colleagues and local businesses Firmus agreed to carry out a feasibility study. The confirmation of their intentions to extend their service will be recieved favourably".
Concluding Councillor Mulgrew said "It is anticipating that the work which will commence towards the end of the year"
