The area surrounding Daisy Hill Hospital will have a temporary traffic light system for the next four weeks as part of a programme of works by firmus energy.
“firmus energy will commencethe works this Monday, 3 April. The programme involves the laying of new pipes on Hospital Road between Wood Hill and Carnagat Road, Newry which will bring natural gas to more customers in the area.
A firmus energy spokesperson said “Part of this programme of works will include the area surrounding Daisy Hill Hospital and following consultation with DFI (Transport NI), Hospital Estates Office and ongoing engagement with the team at Daisy Hill Hospital a temporary 2 way traffic light system will operate during this period. This will not impact the entrance to either the hospital or ambulance bay, however drivers should expect some delays when visiting the hospital via the main road during that particular part of the works.
“We would like to thank everyone for their patience during this time and we are committed to ensuring as little disruption during the four weeks as possible”.
